Millefleur Paintings
The Millefleur series began in Asheville, North Carolina in the spring of 2020 through daily walks along the French Broad River that flows through the River Arts District. These contemporary paintings were part of the realization of myself as an eco-contemplative artist, which I define as one who is observing and exploring creatively the sacred and reciprocal relationship between humans and the natural world.
As I took those river walks, a million cultivated and wild blossoms opened up, becoming a champion for me to transcend the darkness of the pandemic; Small portals of beauty to temper the world disorder. These paintings are a meditation and companion to my Portal Paintings.
