A moment of walking up near the Laurel River in WNC and somehow we were given this essential golden moment of Fall. Like entering a dream the were the world itself in reflection, and every pinkish copper and golden leaf that fell seemed like fluid was the world, a color fluid flowing thing. Flashes of blue from the sky and the river reflected on the trees. The path was leading us. We were utterly entering into the state of golden autumn. I’ve made a number of works from the inspiration of this walk. I harken back so fortified by the memory of such beauty being possible.
